My thoughts from, Brain

At times things get so difficult.

Rather it's music, video, writing or just flat out life.

What's funny, in the moment of doing something I only think people will like,
I'm so. . eager and destined and determined.

However, after it is done. . . all of that dies almost instantly.

Its a bad habit of mine.

It's like I'm not doing GOOD enough.
Which I don't believe I am just yet.

This has been a battle of mine for the longest time.

Today I even find it hard to play a note on the piano.
I find it hard to even come up with a melody.
I find it hard to even come up with a beat of drum. . .

It all becomes immediately dry for a moment.

I always think what can I do to better myself.
What can I do to empower myself.

No one is going to fix this but myself.

I just want to make it quite clear that...

 I get lonely too.
I get discouraged too.
I belittle myself too.
I cry too...

The point is..if you get up after all that. . you're a born winner.

The sPadey Committee unite!

Why. ."The sPadey Committee"?

I hear plenty people with "Team" this "Team" that and
while that is all lovely, I wanted to rally up my own class of followers!

You will know this to be

The sPadey Committee

I call the sPadey Committee to take charge
to spread the word of having:

  • Epic music
  • Loving one another
  • Believing in yourself & others
  • Staying focused, hard working & determined

You can't live right without lovely music.
Rather it is melodic rhythms of instruments
or the amazing music of people loving & getting along.
You need those qualities in your ears and soul.

You can't have peace without learning to
love each other and each others differences.

You can't walk through life correctly without believing in yourself!
You must know you can mold your life into becoming a statue of greatness.

While I plan to make out plenty more "Laws" these are the base fundamentals!

We won't be able to change everything or everybody, but we can make the world a little less bothered by spilling out the words of wisdom and knowledge!

That's why I need you all to help me!

With the help of great people like @JDrewMusic
and his epic music this will be amazing!

Remember..
WE R DYNAMO!

JDrew Casting Call -In sPadeys Words-

I started to try and work on my own music project early last year.
However, times called for something else to be taken care of and that was
JDrew's premiering CD "Casting Call" (Click to download)

So far it's been quite the lovely!
Standing now since I've typed this, at 5000+ downloads it's definitely a blessing.

In my words its Dynamo!

Theres an array of music for everyone.

Out of 9 tracks you get something worthwhile.

What I enjoy most about artist is if they can tell relevant stories.
In a lot of cases tons of independent and mainstream artist alike tell worthless stories.

What I get most out of Casting Call is verbal nourishment in every song.

I personally felt like it would excel since the beginning,
especially with what I heard at the time.

I had not heard the other productions on the project.
(Besides the great early released ones with Jasmine V)

So even I was still in for a surprise.

I produced 2 of the 9 tracks.

"First Love" & "My Reality (Ft. Meriah Christine)

First Love

The instrumental for First Love was created back in the early spring of 2010

It originally started as "Summer Temptation" a "pre-made" song I did on the beat.
I wanted something that breathed a 90s summer vibe.

You can certainly guess that Tupac's "I Get Around"
Will Smith's "Summertime" was direct inspiration.

I grew up in the 90s and mostly around Jazz, Hip Hop, and a bit of rock.
I took to my brain to time travel back to those times.
All I could gather was a great feeling and so I took to the instruments.

I needed some smooth soulful guitars, put on top of some psychedelic rhoades keys.
This melody would be joined by a funky, phat sounding bassline,
a tinkling few bell notes off to the right,
a few notes of synthesizer pads,
a whining lead synthesizer sound,
all empowered by a chilling back-beat.

After 30-40 minutes of composing, the output was most certainly pleasing.

I felt like I wanted something vocally "chill" on this project.
I was thinking "Summer" which outputted "Summer Temptation"

But then around September of 2010 I was visiting Detroit for a birthday vacation.

I had previously sent JDrew the instrumental to see what he thought.
Well he seemingly instantly fell hard for it. (Lol)

I remember being at my God sisters house pretty hung over,
and getting a text about how much he enjoyed it (Haha)

From there I was assured it would be loveliness from there on.

I got back to ATL and heard the demo he made
thinking "YES" it would definitely be a "First LOVED" (Haha)

I believe he did nothing but amazing on the track

My Reality (Ft. Meriah Christine)

Originally titled "Damsels In Distress"

The instrumental was created very early in 2010
It was.. well..my "baby". Lol

I thought to myself I didn't want to give this instrumental up to save my life!
It was for no one!

It's actually really funny, because JDrew made perfect time asking,
"Hey, you any new beats?!"

I'm pretty sure I was like "Yeah, I'm going to send you some stuff" (lol)

The description I gave to him for the beat was like,

"This here is pretty powerful. I was going to use it myself but I'd definitely lend it to you. Definitely can be more lyrical on here and it's more Kid Cudi, Drake (Lust For Life) type. I had a viewing session of clouds when I made this. We aren't in space-age anymore but we are still elevated."

It may not be funny to any of you but I surely "LMAO" when I read that.

I was so skeptical of letting it go, but I was assured that I'd be returned something great.

I DIDN'T expect a compelling voice such as Meriah Christine.
Neither did I know who she was to begin with (lol)
So I got double whammy loveliness!

The production featured a plethora of sounds.
Some I intended to be heard consciously, and others I intended unconsciously.

The most memorable would be the driving ethereal like choir sound.
The gritty, power hungry bass-line
With the sound of an echoing laser swinging back and forth.
Dreamy tolls of cloud-like bells
A thrilling, eerie groan of a synthesizer
Empowered by a grueling deep-end back-beat.

Some of the sounds didn't make it to the CD mix.
So I've provided the instrumental here for listening.
Strictly for those of you whom are carried by the instruments as well (lol)

In lovely conclusion. .

Every other track on Casting Call features a large stinging spritz of greatness from JDrew.

Also featuring names like,

Jasmine V, Meriah Christine, Ariana Ober

Theres loveliness to be heard on every recorded second on these songs.

Rather I was apart of production or not
I'd still be a fan of listening

Thats one thing I want people to understand.

Much ado to the right hand man on production @KidEasy (follow him)

I enjoyed every bit of production and look forward to continuing this legacy.

I'm most certainly proud of JDrew and us all alike!
It's been around 5 years and counting working with him!

For whatever next JDrew has in store, you can be assured
I'm locked and ready working on it full battery, high maintenance
