Don't Swift Off The Ol' Swifter

Madam Swift

I've noticed the attacks at Taylor majored after the Grammies.

Theres the main debate of her being a true "talent".

Well, I've discovered a bit of my own opinion to share.

Lets start shall we. . .?

"The Ol' Swifter can write a good song!"

There's pretty much no doubting "the Swifter" knows how to write a good song.
I mean a song that can really make a teenage girl shiver.
Then in most cases also win the hearts of older people.

If you're a true "music lover" you can also respect what she speaks about, and maybe not because you relate to her stories,  but because she makes you understand and feel what she is singing about near 100%

When "Love Story" made its way in about 2 years ago.
I wasn't fish-hooked in immediately.

However, after clearing my stubbornness, finally giving in and hearing the whole song,
I was interested definitely.

(Also for the fact that I seen all the ladies loving her,  it helps to know about what they love lol)

It was easy to understand what she was talking about.
In such a simple formatted way the young, quirky, endearing girls voice she has makes you understand her very well.

If you didn't know the fairy tale, complex, dramatic scenery that fills a young ladies head
Well you knew then after hearing one of "the Swifter's" songs.

So in a nutshell YES, Taylor can definitely write greatness.

The Live Performance Hassles
(A Big Bad TERRIBLE Beast they say...)

So people complain that she cannot sing.
Then say shes a horrible artist with no talent

I'm not TOO quick to jump that gun.
I do see a lot of times where she wasn't so great.

However, theres plenty of artist who are worst live performers, no talent, etc

In most cases it just means you aren't a great live performer.
Not meaning you are a horrible artist.

I mean she can write a song, hit the studio,  record it and get on the radio, capture hearts.
Thats lovely enough.

I believe also she helps a lot with the set design at her concerts which is a plus.

She can sing.
It's just not a very strong, full, dramatic voice like most.
Shes more of a mellow voice, light on her feet, sometimes with ability to go loud & dramatic.

In some cases yes its stale thinking she puts all this time into the craft, and then when it comes to performing amongst all her fans she kind of chokes up.
Nowadays, I guess that means you are artificial?

I'm not mad at her over it.
I believe she'll definitely grow, and live performing is quite the challenge if you didn't know!

Heck..you look at rappers nowadays and think. . . "OK, whats the significance behind them?"

They get a looped beat,
Write some words on it (pretty much cloned from any other song they've done)
Talk about being the greatest and fly, fresh, and such. .
Get these kids to be so ridiculously into them, and they're truly nothing to begin with.
Get the kids to think they're hardcore, going through a terrible life, etc.

I think rappers are the greatest "acts", clowns, unnecessary, flukes, useless.

The Ol' Swifter makes you feel befriended  (muhaha)

I feel, when I listen to Taylor Swift, that she is a girl I know that lives just down the street, and she's catching up with me, telling me about an experience she had that day.

Its just a closeness...a bond...

I can't lie I had this wild overtaking that wanted me to dislike her few months ago (lol)
However, it just felt compelling to hear her out.

Honestly, I hadn't listened to her in a good while.

When the song for Valentines Day came out I didn't pay much mind.
I guess I was mind numbed by others rants about the Grammies performance
Then I was sadly giving up on her.

Then "Mine" had leaked and I was once again a fan haha. . I never stopped being one, HONEST!

If you think you don't like her,
Just give her another shot

It's her lyrics that don't allow you to cease your bond.

It's the truth in the words that doesn't let you fall too far from her.

"Mine" is my second favorite song right now in Country/pop

In conclusion, Taylor Swift (The Swifter) is a good artist.
She writes good capturing songs.
She gives you insight of her life, and these songs happen to be how millions of girls feel.

If you're older and in your 20's on up it may just be cute to you. .then again it may be your life story, or how you've felt when you were younger.

Either way I see her as a strong hold for the time to come.

So come with it Ol' Swifter ;)
